Stories of Everyday life in the Vietnam Nam War as told from a helicopter pilot's perspective

The Eyes Of The Pilot Oh! What They've Seen eBook Jim Cameron Kevin Cameron

Although I have never been a fan of Vietnam War books, I was quick to purchase this one since I served with Jim Cameron in the 176th during the same time he was there. In fact I believe we arrived into the company area on the same day. The accounts Jim shares brought back many memories for me in addition to being very entertaining. I'm glad I bought and read the book and I believe it will both entertain and inform all who choose to read it. Reading will give anyone an honest glimpse into the daily lives of those who were involved in the Army helicopter operations in and around I Corp and the Chu Lai and Da Nang areas of operation.

The Eyes Of The Pilot Oh! What They've Seen eBook Jim Cameron Kevin Cameron Reviews

A very brief book with not very interesting stories. Not worth the purchase price.
Brought me back to my tours (minus that smell and the humid heat I'll never forget ). Well worth the read.
Well written. Used few names, just initials or first names. Great feeling like being there. It turns out that Jim flew for the same unit my friend did.
Jim's account was accurate and interesting. Like most of us, he was just doing his job well. His book explains how both funny and sad things happen in combat. I enjoyed remembering some of my own as I read his stories.
Read this book in three days. Great reading. I highly recommend this to everyone. Well worth the purchase! Thank you for your service!
Being more of a set of memories cobbled together, not necessarily sequentially, this book for me was .Ok to read. It did show another aspect of VN.
So far for me, nothing has been better than Chickenhawk.
Wonderful book, Mister Cameron. I was a Pelican pilot as well, from November 1969 to November 1970 . As I read the stories, my mind said, "Hey, I was with you on the mission" and "Hey, I remember that crazy naked dude"! Thanks for the memories, my brother. Now as I review my pictures of those young warriors, I thank God for blessing me with such an incredible life, and for knowing such true patriots as yourself. God Bless you, Jim Cameron, and thank you for your service. Welcome home, brother.
